Privacy
How plugged-in.ai handles site analytics, questions to the studio guide, and administrator sessions.
Your analytics choice
Optional first-party analytics stay off until you choose Accept analytics. Reject analytics is available alongside it. You can change your choice at any time using Cookie settings; rejecting stops future collection and removes the analytics cookies. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control keep optional analytics off.
What we measure after you accept
We record page views, approximate country and city, general device and browser categories, referring domains, film plays, chats started, and booking-link clicks. Random browser and session identifiers allow the private studio dashboard to show estimated returning visitors and page-by-page visit journeys. These are pseudonymous browser estimates, not identified people.
We measure active foreground time, maximum scroll reach, and normalized click positions for page heatmaps. Timing pauses when a page is hidden or inactive for a minute, except while a film is playing. Delivery or browser limits can cause undercounting. Heatmaps show click density, not session recordings.
Our analytics records do not contain IP addresses, precise GPS locations, chat or form text, recordings, query strings, or referrer paths. Approximate location comes from the hosting provider’s IP-based geolocation and can be wrong, especially with VPNs or mobile networks. The hosting provider processes network data to deliver and protect the website.
Cookies and retention
The necessary studio_analytics_consent cookie remembers your choice for 180 days. With acceptance, studio_analytics_visitor lasts up to 90 days and studio_analytics_session expires after 30 minutes without reported activity. They are first-party cookies. Site analytics records expire after 90 days; previously collected records are not retroactively removed when you turn tracking off.
Only the authenticated studio administrator can see detailed analytics. We use Vercel to host the site and Upstash to store these records. There are no third-party advertising trackers. Earlier aggregate counts used tab-session estimates and do not include location, page timing, or heatmaps. Contact the studio at hello@plugged-in.ai with privacy questions.
The studio guide
The site does not store chat transcripts. When the AI guide is configured, your question and the conversation context needed to answer it are sent to OpenAI. The integration uses the Responses API with store: false. OpenAI still processes those requests; this setting is not a promise of zero retention by the provider.
With external AI disabled, the local guide answers from the published studio catalog without sending your question to an external AI service. If a configured AI connection fails, a request may already have been sent before the local guide supplies the fallback answer.
Administrator access
The administrator area uses an HttpOnly session cookie that expires after eight hours.
Booking and product websites
Booking and product links may open another website. Information you submit there is handled by that website.
